In anticipation of the snowfall, the following snow emergencies are in place:

Coal Valley: The snow emergency lasts from noon on Saturday to 5 p.n. on Monday. Once snowfall reaches two inches, parking is not allowed on any Village road or parking lot. The city also reminds residents to remove snow and ice from their section of the public sidewalk within 24 hours.

East Moline: The emergency declaration lasts from 3 p.m. on Saturday until 3 p.m. on Sunday. Residents are asked to not park on marked snow routes or arterial/collector routes, such as 7th, 13th and 19th Streets until the snow is cleared.

Morrison: The city declares its snow emergency to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday and last until 8 a.m. on Monday or until the snow is removed. For this duration, No parking is allowed on snow routes, overnight parking in the Central Business District is banned, and even/odd parking is in effect for other streets.

Rock Island: A snow emergency goes into effect on Saturday at noon. Once snowfall reaches 2 inches, parking is not allowed on snow routes until the snow has been cleared. Violators may receive a $35 parking ticket and towing.

The city also asks residents to not park on residential streets until the snow is removed.

Sterling: Starting at noon on Saturday, there will be no parking on snow routes until snow has been removed from the entire width of the street. Parking will not be allowed in the Central Business District, or in city parking lots between 1:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. 

They are also implementing even-odd parking, where you park on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses on even days of the week. For example: on January 30 park on the side with even-numbered addresses on even days of the week park on the side with even-numbered addresses. 

Walnut: The village declares its snow emergency from 6 p.m. on Saturday to 6 p.m. on Sunday, and parking is not allowed on village streets for the duration.
